Who we are
We provide evidence-based support for individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The Learning Disabilities Association of New Zealand (LDANZ) is a national not-for-profit Incorporated Society, established in 2011.
We specialise in supporting individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia, and in providing professional training for those who assess and teach learners with SLD.
Our mission and vision
To offer information and training opportunities that support understanding and effective teaching of individuals with specific learning disabilities.
To recommend and provide high-quality professional development for teachers and assessors working in this field.
To provide registration and a professional community of practice for educators and assessors supporting individuals with SLD.
Governance
LDANZ operates as a Community of Practice for professionals working with people who have Specific Learning Disabilities.
