Registered Teachers
LDANZ Registered LD Teachers are:
- Individual members of LDANZ.
- Trained and experienced classroom teachers, who in addition to a New Zealand teaching qualification, have successfully passed an LDANZ approved course for the teaching of those with a specific learning disability. An approved practical component and supervised practice is required.
- Required to abide by the professional Code of Ethics of the New Zealand Teachers’ Council.
- Required to undertake documented continuing professional development.
- Police vetted
The teaching programme for students is specifically tailored to each individual’s identified needs.
